1920x1080 all settings high with ksmod (highres armors in town)

In kamadan ae1 standing on the stairs and looking at everyone near the xunlais/bridge: about 60-70 fps

In kamadan ae1 staring at the wall: about 400 fps

I'm always sitting at 60fps, 1920x1080 with Highest graphics.

I think I can get mine higher but, I'm assuming that it would just suck more resources, not like I can't spare some, but still. Would be cool to see how high I can get my fps.

|If vsync is on it will be limited to w/e your screen can max out and not much point of letting it go higher than that.
Turned vsync off once got 200+ fps on max settings with my laptop ....

Standing in kamadan (1920 x 1200 with vsync turned off, settings on high)=90fps. But I usually have vsync enabled so 60fps.

One hit from Molotov Rocktail's Devourer Siege skill (HM)=<10fps for approx. 4-8 seconds. :-P

But I think I when I started playing GW back in 2005 my main rig was doing 45fps which I thought was decent at the time -- I even limited the frame rate to 30fps via the command line switch (-fps).

What insanethemadone said. Unless your frame rate is running significantly lower than your monitor's refresh rate, you don't need to upgrade your PC. It's sorta personal preference whether to use v-sync or not anyways. My LCD refresh rate is 60Hz...so with v-sync on I get 60fps, which is all the frames that my monitor can display without dropping or overlapping frames and getting some tearing. If I turn v-sync off I've gotten as high as 350fps in my guildhall. But for anything other than epeen, so what. 290 of those 350 frames will be useless because my monitor can't display them. What you should be aiming for is to have your frame rate be as high as your monitor's refresh rate can handle, any higher won't hurt, but it is a waste and you won't see any smoother motion. So check your display refresh rate and compare it to your fps at max game video settings...if it's lower, then you might want to think about upgrading your PC and/or graphics card. If your fps is equal to, or higher than your monitor's refresh rate then your rig is fine.

Yeah with vsync I obviously get my monitor's max fps (60).

This man is correct.

Frame rates higher than your monitor's refresh rate are pointless. Unless you're playing a competetive FPS, keep v-sync on. It's there for a reason.

If you are playing a competetive FPS, feel free to turn it off, otherwise all your equally misguided companions will call you a noob.
